Why Did We Choose To Become Dentists?
Dentistry is a unique profession that incorporates dental science along with artistry. It pleases us not only be able to care for our patients medically, but also to help change their self-perception by creating a beautiful and healthy smile for them.
What Is Our Personal And Professional Philosophy?
Caring for our patients needs one individual at a time is of utmost importance to us. We believe that we must listen to each patient in order to both help determine and explain what the best treatment options are. Our practice is dedicated to establishing relationships with our patients that are based on restpect and trust. We not only want to be your dentist, but also your family dentist!
What is Our Background?
Born in Huntsville, Texas, Dr. Mark Davis began learning about dentistry from an early age. With grand-uncle who was one of the first orthodontists in Texas and a father who is an oral surgeon, he was always comfortable in a dental office. In fact, it wasn’t until dental school that he learned that some people are afraid of going to the dentist! After graduating from Southwestern University, the oldest university in Texas, Dr. Mark Davis received his Masters in Molecular Biology at Southern Methodist University. While there, he taught the freshman biology lab and worked on a research team studying the causes of African Sleeping Sickness. Dr. Mark Davis then continued his education at Baylor College of Dentistry, where he earned recognition as the best cosmetic dentist as well as one of the five best clinicians. Dr. Mark Davis did his general practice residency at the VA in Dallas. There he focused on surgical dentistry, including implant placement and restoration, extractions, trauma cases, and severe periodontal disease treatment.
Dr. Mark Davis met his wife, Dr. Monika Davis, at Baylor. After a long friendship and a romantic courtship, they married and moved to Arizona in 2007. Knowing that they wanted to begin their own family, Drs. Mark and Monika Davis had to decide where they wanted to build their life. Because both her brother and her parents already lived in Scottsdale, and because his parents have a second home here as well, the decision was a simple and happy one. With two energetic young daughters, Drs. Mark and Monika Davis spend most of their free time at the parks, hiking the local trails, or on play-dates. When Dr. Mark Davis has an afternoon or evening out with his friends, he also enjoys playing golf and working on landscaping.

Meet Priscilla, our Office Manager!
Although I grew up in Sante Fe, New Mexico, I have always dreamed of visiting my extended family in Cadiz, Spain. I moved to Phoenix and met my husband seventeen years ago, and then we began our own family here. We now have three beautiful children who keep us busy with school and sports. When I am not coaching volleyball or volunteering at one of the kids’ schools, I enjoy swimming, painting ceramics, and going on dates with my husband.
I have been interested in the anatomy of people’s teeth, and the effect of teeth on people’s lives, ever since I was a child. I was very embarrassed by my own snaggle tooth, but was fortunate to have a dentist uncle who was able to fix my smile. I had always felt that my ugly tooth made me wholly ugly, and it was such a wonderful feeling to be able to finally smile! I think that your confidence in your teeth will crossover into so many other areas of your life, allowing you to light up the whole room with your smile. To this day, it still encourages me when patients come in for a smile makeover and leave with a renewed sense of self-confidence.
Meet Tricia, our Assistant!
I spent my childhood and young adult years in North Dakota, and have come to love the hot Arizona summers! My husband and I originally moved to the Phoenix area almost eleven years ago, chasing the calm weather as so many pilots and their families do. We now have two healthy and energetic kids who keep us running with piano lessons and weekly parties. When I am not reading in my daughter’s class at school or running around the Zoo with my son and his friends, you can find me reading, baking, swimming, or acting as tour guide to family visiting from across the US and Canada.
Although I only had to endure the dreaded teenage braces, I watched my brother struggle with his teeth for years. From the time his teeth were knocked out as a child, through having multiple teeth extracted over several months, and many years of braces, I witnessed my brother go from a kid who never smiled to an adult who routinely speaks with confidence in public. Whether it is helping to fix a single tooth, holding a child’s hand as Dr. Davis re-implants a knocked-out tooth, handing a patient the mirror after bleaching her teeth before her wedding, or witnessing the amazement of a smile makeover, I can honestly say that I truly enjoy every day here!
Meet Cherie', our Hygienist!
We are very happy to be welcoming Cherie’ King, our new dental hygienist. Cherie’ has lived in Arizona her entire life, spending her childhood in Scottsdale and now living in Cave Creek. Growing up as the daughter of a dental technician and as the niece of a local dentist, Cherie’ has always had her hands in the dental field. It felt only natural for her to begin her own career as a dental hygienist over thirteen years ago, and she has enjoyed getting to know all of her patients over the years. One of the reasons Cherie’ is so excited to join our team is our shared philosophy on individual patient care and stress on continuing education in both technological developments as well as techniques. Cherie’ has been happily married to her husband Gary for twelve years, and loves being a Mommy to her six-year-old daughter Kaitlyn and two-year-old son Christian. When Cherie’ is not relaxing at home, she is on the road to wakeboard or scuba dive.
